Yes. As a beekeeper you will inevitably get stung. However if you wear full protection and take proper precautions this does not happen often. Before you start beekeeping it is very important to understand your tolerance to bee stings. In some cases bee stings can lead to death, and if you are unsure of your allergy level you can have your doctor do a test to determine your reaction level.

Beekeeping can be expensive, especially once you scale it up. The initial investment can range anywhere from $800-$1000*. However selling honey and bi products such as beeswax can help offset these costs.
